release yourself

why stillwords exists

there is a kind of noise
that doesn't announce itself as noise.

a caption trying too hard.
a poem explaining itself before you've felt it.

stillwords is the quiet argument against that.

not louder. just slower.

just a true feeling,
and enough space around it
to find your own.

the name carries the philosophy.
stillness as the subject.

something in you
that was never disturbed to begin with.

“growth, if it comes, should feel like a poem passed quietly from one reader to another.”

still words

this is the first post. not a statement,
an invitation.

more soon. unhurried.
