Abacus of sorrows

Sun dipping, nose pinched red.

At the window sill,

I counted sorrows,

Something didn’t tally

Oh yeah !

lent ear, borrowed some sorrow,

borrowed ear, lent some sorrow,

now the numbers made sense.
